A new, elevated flavour for Ingredients UK.

The collaboration between Ingredients UK and Studio Bastion marked a transformative journey for the UK’s leading importer and distributor of high-quality ingredients. Their branding and website was tired, outdated, and lacked personality. We stepped in to help revitalise their online and offline presence.

The goal was clear: to modernise Ingredients UK's brand identity and create a user-friendly website that aligns with their position as a premier distributor in the industry.

First up, we started with some comprehensive market research, identifying key challenges in the industry and how they interrupted the client’s goals. We created a logo out of a leaf, emphasising the natural, organic aspects of their products, and incorporated a section of the Union Jack to anchor the trademark of Ingredients UK.

The website design aimed for both appeal and functionality. We used WordPress and WooCommerce to build a site prioritising product visibility and ease of access for our client to run themselves, uploading and updating parts of the website according to the availability of their ever-expanding product range and stock. The front end was built with clean, clear touchpoints to enable an easy customer experience whilst using the site.

We brought the products to life with images depicting the extensive range of materials and ingredients, enabling users to effortlessly explore and inquire about products. The user-friendly experience extended to a seamless e-commerce solution, allowing direct purchases for certain products.

Navigating the project wasn’t without its challenges. Some products required a unique solution, available for purchase only through direct contact. Studio Bastion’s technical expertise came to the forefront, developing a solution that empowered Ingredients UK to manage these products independently.

The results were tangible. Website traffic and engagement significantly improved as soon as we launched the new site, and the introduction of e-commerce functionality streamlined the order process, saving valuable staff time. The new brand identity gave Ingredients UK a distinctive, modern and recognisable presence in the market.

In conjunction with the thorough revitalisation of Ingredients UK's online presence, Studio Bastion prioritised sustainability by embracing an eco-friendly approach in the packaging redesign. We consciously selected environmentally responsible materials, ensuring that the packaging not only conveyed the natural and organic qualities of Ingredients UK's products but also minimised its ecological footprint.
